Ecoal is the smokeless fuel we are most excited about at Coals2u.  Not only does Homefire Ecoal offer fantastic heating performance, but it is the first fuel of its kind made with 30% Renewable Materials.  These renewable materials come from plants that absorb much of the carbon dioxide that is released when our solid fuel burns. This makes ecoal much kinder to the environment than other coal based smokeless fuels, because the net release of CO2 into the atmosphere is reduced. 

This Eco-friendly smokeless fuel, for open fires and multi-fuel stoves, burns hotter and for longer and emits up to 25% less CO2 and 80% less smoke than house coal.

We will endeavour to deliver your order within 5 working days unless otherwise stated within the product description. If delivery is likely to be longer then we will contact you to keep you informed of progress.

Deliveries are all day weekdays. Saturday delivery before noon may be requested, although this cannot be guaranteed and may incur an additional charge.

Product supplied in dumpy bags or on pallets will be delivered to the nearest suitable point on your property, which may be the kerbside. This is because these products are delivered on a pallet using a tail lift vehicle and a pallet truck and due to their size and weight cannot be maneuvered up or down inclines, or over uneven surfaces such as gravel driveways. Once delivered to kerbside it is your responsibility to move the product to where you need it and dispose of the pallet and any other packaging.

ecoal50 is a clean long lasting fuel but it is not cheaper than 50kg open sacs of housecoal. When sold in 50kg open sacs ecoal will no doubt work out cheaper and i will buy some more.

we are on, I think, our third delivery of 10 bags of ecoal 50 and very happy with its performance. It stays in overnight reliably compared with phurnacite which frequently went out. It picks up easily, when neglected, and only needs a couple of red coals to get going. Unfortunately, in our last delivery, one bag was very poor with much dust and many broken bits, however we will persevere with it.

Really happy with ecoal, we have tried phurnacite and homefire and prefer it to both. Performance similar to homefire, maybe even a little better, but is partly from recycled materials so it wins all round. Bricket size is larger than either of others so very slow burn time in our stove. Keeping us toasty warm in this cold weather

Being new to multi-fuel burners the whole issue of what to burn was a mystery to us; I had at least heard of Homefire Ovals, so we bought some of that plus a few bags of the Ecoal as I liked its green credentials. We've found that the Ecoal burns for much longer & leaves far less residue, so, even though it's the slightly dearer option, in the future we'll be buying just this product.

Last year bought 50% Homefire and 50% Ecoal as I didn't know how the Ecoal would function, but liked the 'eco' implication. This year I have bought 100% Ecoal as there seemed little or no difference in their performance, and of course it costs less.
